The Tax Office administers university tax compliance with respect to Federal and State tax laws, acts as a resource for the University community with respect to tax issues, ensures timely and accurate filing of the University Federal and State tax returns, and develops necessary procedures and reporting systems to ensure compliance with Federal and State tax laws applicable to the University and related parties. The Tax Office also advises international students and scholars on tax treaty benefits and tax withholding and reporting requirements as well as provides advice to the University community regarding international tax withholding and reporting requirements on payments made to the University’s population of international students and scholars.
